I would like to thank Deputy Headteacher Mr Beswick for arranging an inspiring annual Governors Training Event for all our hardworking and dedicated Governors who serve and support the three schools in our Multi Academy Trust. Governors bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge to support the senior leadership teams across the three schools and give up a significant amount of time to attend committee and full Governing Body meetings throughout the year. They also play a key role in attending the Annual Governors Day when they get to meet with key staff and students and attend a joint Governors Student Parliament Meeting to help and support the continued direction of school improvement.

The training this year offered an eclectic menu of choices ranging from the new Ofsted Framework, Safeguarding, SEND, Therapeutic Thinking and Raising Achievement Data Analysis. Governors had a chance to meet and discuss the latest educational thinking in cross school groups and really enjoyed the high quality training sessions on offer.
