October Half Term Revision

Getting the core subjects right has such a huge impact on the opportunities available to our Year 11 students when they complete their GCSEs. Maths will lead to one grade, English will lead to two grades and Science will lead to a minimum of two grades. This adds up to a minimum of five grades from the core subjects. If a student achieves a pass in each of these, this will secure the grades required for our increasingly popular Sixth Form. However, many of our students will score much higher than this and will therefore open up more doors to a wide range of subjects and qualifications that can be studied at KS5.

With the core in mind, this October half term, Maths, English and Science are putting on some revision sessions to support our Year 11 GCSE students. In order to work smarter than previous years, parents and carers of students identified as needing some immediate additional support will receive special post card invitations encouraging them to attend the appropriate sessions.
Please see the attached timetable and take advantage of this fantastic opportunity. Students do not need to wear uniform and are encouraged to bring in some refreshments to keep them fuelled during their sessions.
A big thank you in advance to all the teachers going the extra mile for the students this half term and a huge well done in advance to the students who attend these sessions.
