Getting creative in Geography

This week in Geography the year 9 students have been creating paper mache volcanoes to help them understand the formation and features of a volcano.

The students had to research the best method to make the volcano and how to best show the features of the volcano.

The students really engaged with the activity and the volcanoes are really starting to take shape and I know all the pupils are excited to see them ‘explode’ in 2 weeks time.

The year 8s have been making favelas to help them understand the problems and hardships of living in a shanty town. All the students were engaged and enjoyed getting creative.
