This half term in geography year 8 student have chosen a global issue they are interested in. They have been working hard in both lessons and at home to create presentations to show the rest of the class. Some groups used experiments to get across their ideas.
The image is showing 2 students demonstrating the depletion of the ozone layer with different types of paper and a spray bottle of water that is representing aerosoles and the impact this is having on the ozone layer. This was both creative and engaging as well as having a huge impact on the rest of the class to visually see the effects of aerosols on the ozone layer.
Other projects consisted of kahoots, videos, quizzes and one group even created a charity to explore the global issue of disabled children in different countries.
It was fantastic to see all the class so engaged and interested in different global issues. The most inspiring was seeing the pupils solutions to the different global issues. They were creative and forward thinking, its amazing to see future generations taking such an interest in these global issues and coming up with solutions which could become a reality.
¡Feliz Año nuevo! Year 7 students have been learning numbers from 1-100 in Spanish . We are closer to learning 2020!!
