Last week was Holocaust Remembrance Week and each year, the group received an assembly on tolerance. I believe this assembly is important to help us understand the impact and importance of the Holocaust. It is essential that we remember the Holocaust as it was a genocide that effected the entire world and changed our views on war and genocide.

As part of my prefect role, I’m responsible for being in certain areas of the school during lunch to make sure no one is where they shouldn’t be. This helps keep everyone safe and stops busy areas from getting too crowded. Being around the school also means students can come to me if they need help, and it’s a good way for me to support the school community and set a positive example.

To get a head start to the new month in regards to mental health week, our assembly this week, conducted by Ms Greenwood, helped us reflect on the significance of becoming resilient. We, as a school, prioritise the 3 Rs: Relationships, Responsibility and Respect . The assembly taught us that the impact of resilience comes with great responsibility!
