It was a privilege to join Elm House’s last House Assembly of the year and be able to thank all the Elm House CDCs for their hard work and excellent support for the wonderful students in their care and of course our superb leader and Head of House Mr Cox. The very apt Theme of the Week that Mr Cox talked about was Growth and he shared some personal reflections and top tips for all the students – encouraging positive and sustained growth over time.

He stressed the importance of listening to others who are older and wiser than ourselves so that we can listen to and learn from their experiences. In a school setting that may well be the teachers and Learning Assistants in subject areas across the school, but also the Character Development Coaches who our students see every day for 20 minutes throughout their journey through Bushey Meads.

We wish all the students in Elm House every continued success as they end this academic year well and look forward to growing in all areas of life next year.
