Learning from Each Other
One of the best ways to learn and develop new pedagogical practice as a teacher is to watch others teach. In our school we have some amazing classroom practitioners and want to offer as many opportunities as possible for colleagues to observe each other teach and pick up new and embedded ideas to support even greater engagement and progress in all classrooms.
In Staff Briefing last week Deputy Headteacher Mr Beswick and Senior Lead Practitioner Mrs Hoskins who oversee our superb Teaching and Learning Team, explained to staff about the summer term observation cycle which provides an opportunity for all teachers to observe another colleague.
As we head towards the end of another academic year we hope that this term will enable all staff to develop their pedagogical practice even further – aiming for 100% of our teachers to have improved since last September.
