Year 8 and 9 Assembly Focuses on Keeping...

This week, our Year 8 and 9 students had an important assembly focused on keeping safe and safeguarding. This was aimed at ensuring students understand the importance of looking after their wellbeing and knowing where to turn for support if they ever feel unsafe or unsure.

We were pleased to be joined by representatives from Services for Young People, who spoke about the support they offer to young people in the local area covering a wide range of issues, including mental health, relationships, careers advice, and more.

Students were encouraged to think about how they can keep themselves and others safe, both in school and in the wider community, and were reminded that there are always trusted adults and services available to help.

Services for Young People will be returning at lunchtime on Thursday 6 November, when students will have the opportunity to speak with them informally, ask questions, and find out more about the support available. We encourage students to take this opportunity to engage and learn more about how to stay safe and supported.
