Year 7s Explore Resistance

In an exciting DT- electronics lesson with Mrs. Hewitt, Year 7 students explored the concept of resistance within a circuit through a hands-on activity. The class stood in pairs, facing each other to create a “path of resistance.” This interactive demonstration helped students understand how forces act against movement and how resistance can be increased by changing the thickness or length of a wire.

By physically engaging with the concept, the students gained a clearer understanding of how resistance works in a circuit and how the current is able to flow. The lesson was met with enthusiasm, as students enjoyed the chance to learn through movement and teamwork.
