On Wednesday 24th September, we were delighted to welcome our Year 7 parents into school for our annual ‘Come Dine With Me’ event.
The morning began with tea and coffee in the Restaurant, before parents were taken on guided tours of Year 7 lessons. Our responsible BMS buddies led small groups of parents, showing them the learning taking place in classrooms across the year group. Parents commented on how impressive it was to see the students so engaged in their learning and were full of praise for the confidence and maturity of their tour guides.
At lunchtime, parents returned to the Restaurant where they were joined by their children for lunch together. This was a lovely opportunity for families to sit down, share the experience, and enjoy being part of school life, with many parents leaving with a greater insight into their child’s daily school experience.
A huge thank you to our Year 8 BMS buddies for representing the school so brilliantly, and to all the staff and families who helped make the event such a success.
