Year 12 Prefects Lead Informative Assembly...

Last week, our Year 12 prefects took centre stage by planning, creating and delivering an engaging assembly for Year 10 and 11 students identified as higher prior attainers. This assembly provided invaluable insights into life in sixth form, leadership opportunities available within the school and guidance on subject options for post-GCSE study.

The Year 12 prefects shared personal experiences and practical advice, helping our younger students understand the academic expectations and the broader opportunities that sixth form offers. They also highlighted how taking on leadership roles can enrich students’ school life and personal development. For example, one prefect shared their role as a police cadet leader, exemplifying how leadership positions can enrich both school life and personal development.

Feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the honest and relatable advice delivered by their peers. This initiative not only informed Year 10 and 11 students but also showcased the leadership and communication skills of our Year 12 cohort.

We look forward to more such student-led initiatives that inspire and support our school community.
