Wellbeing in the Workplace

Wellbeing in the Workplace
In line with most corporate workplace environments, across the Bushey St James Trust we take staff wellbeing very seriously. We all know how hard teachers and all those in the educational environment are working and how stressful it can be and, with that in mind we want to do all we can to reduce stress and increase wellbeing. This in turn supports recruitment and retention of staff, reduces staff turnover and ensures that all students have good teachers in front of them, teaching well and on a consistent and ongoing basis.
As parents and carers you can do your part to support this. Do keep sending in positive messages of thanks and praise to all the hardworking and dedicated teachers and Associate Staff who work so hard at Bushey Meads to support all your children in our care. Do continue to be polite and kind when things do sometimes go wrong and give staff time to put things right where we can.
Last week it was good to hear from our CFO and Business Manager across the BSJT Miss Coombs and from our Staff Wellbeing Champion Miss Roberts in our Friday Faculty Focus about the latest wellbeing offer available to all staff at the school.
At our annual staff conference in February the wellbeing theme continues to be supported and Advanced Lead Teachers Miss Sumpter and Miss Joannou outlined the programme on offer – something for staff to look forward to in these dark and wet January days.
