On Tuesday, it was lovely to welcome parents, carers and students to the Year 12 information evening.
Ms Silla, Assistant Headteacher, talked through the successes Bushey Meads sixth form have had in the past year and gave the top tips on how to get there. Attendance was a key factor in ensuring students achieved or exceeded their expectations, with a minimum target of attending school for 95% of the time.
Ms Silla also outlined the wider skills developed throughout the Sixth Form such as leadership, communication and teamwork.
Ms Goldstone, Deputy Head of Sixth Form, gave advice and top tips for the parents and carers on how they can continue to provide support for their young adults through the demands of the key stage 5 curriculum. Daily routines and ensuring dedicated time to consolidate their learning is a key measure to ensure success.
All students, parents and carers were encouraged to utilise the support on offer from the Sixth Form team to help them navigate their journey through years 12 and 13.
