Year 7’s Fantastic First Week at Bushey...

We are thrilled to welcome our new Year 7 students to the Bushey Meads School community, and we’re proud to say they have made an exceptional start to their secondary school journey!

Over the past week, our Year 7s have spent valuable time with their CDC groups, taking part in a wide range of ice breaker activities designed to help them get to know one another, build confidence, and begin forming strong friendships. These activities encouraged teamwork, communication, and most importantly, lots of laughter – setting a positive tone for the year ahead.

In addition to bonding with their new peers, students have been exploring the school site, familiarising themselves with key locations and learning the routines and expectations that will help them thrive at Bushey Meads. Whether navigating their way to lessons, finding the library, or discovering the best spot for lunch, our Year 7s have shown great enthusiasm and maturity.

Staff across the school have been incredibly impressed with how well the students have settled in. Their positive attitude, respectful behaviour, and eagerness to learn have not gone unnoticed, and it’s clear they are already becoming a valued part of the Bushey Meads family.

As we look ahead to the term, we are excited to see our Year 7s continue to grow, both academically and personally. If their first week is anything to go by, the future is looking very bright indeed!
