Aim higher, achieve more!
The Year 7s went on their annual trip to Oxford last Thursday. The aim of the excursion is to visit one of the oldest universities in the world and a city steeped in history. The purpose of the trip was to inspire our students to broaden their horizons and achieve more.
We left BMS at 9am and upon arrival at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford had an educational walking tour of the buildings, followed by a picnic lunch. It was a fantastic day which all the students enjoyed.
Emma from Year 7 said the below:

I think the Oxford trip was a great opportunity to have a look at the university that some of us could be going to one day . It was nice that we had someone to show us around/ explain interesting facts about Oxford like the bridge that was used for convicts and a few of the places used to shoot scenes in the Harry Potter series. I think it was also inspiring that our guide actually studied at Oxford and has gone back to continue learning. Overall, it was a nice trip that let us think about where we might want to study ( although it seems far in the future right now ).
