Associate Leader and Head of IT and Computing Mr Abusef led the Main School Assemblies this week on the really important subject of staying safe online with a particular focus on encouraging all students to carefully consider their digital footprint.

Once something (whether that is a photo, message or opinion) has been posted on the internet (on whatever platform that might be being used) it is there forever as a digital footprint. This footprint is increasingly being analysed, often many years after the event, when students are applying for job opportunities and can seriously hamper the chances of success.
Always act with a Mind to be Kind and you won’t go far wrong.
Be careful, think before you post and consider carefully the long term impact of what you are posting. These were all really good messages given in the assemblies this week; as parents and carers do discuss this important topic with your children and do continue to monitor this aspect of their lives very carefully.
