A real strength of Bushey Meads is the embedded Student Leadership programme, with students taking on a range of roles and responsibilities across the school, developing their leadership skills.
Miss Silla, Assistant Headteacher, has recently trained Subject Leaders and Student Learning Consultants to act as ambassadors for each lesson. Part of their role is to greet any visitors to lessons and explain the learning currently taking place. This was evident on Tuesday this week when myself and Mr Turner, Exeutive Principal, visited a number of lessons across the school. The Student Ambassadors took their responsibilities seriously and gave exemplary explanations as to the learning currently taking place in the lesson. It made our visits to the lesson more pertinent and focused.
Well done to all those who have stepped up into this important role.
