This week, our Year 12’s had the opportunity to travel to London for an enriching museum trip. Students got the opportunity to explore a variety of amazing museums including the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, The British Museum, The Wellcome Collection, Victoria & Albert and The Wallace Collection. We were delighted with the students’ behaviour on the trip, as they demonstrated great respect and represented Bushey Meads brilliantly. We’ve also included student-written accounts on the museums alongside with their feedback:
V&A –
We begin this journey through entering the British collection of historical items such as dresses, potteries and paintings. The details in these were extraordinary, especially the medieval & renaissance section filled with detailed religious paintings and patterns of sculptures.
We continued to wander ourselves into ancient sculptures and jewelleries! The jewellery section stood out the most, the precious jewels glittered across the room. It was fascinating to see, flashing in many different colours from the gemstones of rubies, sapphires and amethysts!
