It’s been really busy (and very impressive!) a few weeks in Sociology as Year 11 and Year 13 get stuck into their PPE revision. Both groups have been working incredibly hard, and the level of focus and teamwork in the classroom has been brilliant to see.
We’ve spent a lot of time working in groups on exam questions, with students talking through their ideas, comparing answers, and giving each other feedback on how to improve. It’s been great watching them take ownership of their learning and really think about what the examiners are looking for.221
We also used some peer teaching this week, which worked even better than expected. Students stepped up to explain the trickier concepts to each other, breaking things down in ways that made sense and helping their classmates feel more confident.
Overall, both year groups have shown such a positive attitude towards their revision. Their hard work is definitely paying off!
Well done to all our sociologists, keep going, you’re doing brilliantly!
