Reinforcing the Importance of Key Words or...

Head of Dance Mrs Bragoli and Advanced Lead Teacher Ms Joannou led the Monday Magic Moment in our Staff Briefing Meeting at the start of the week and shared their ideas for how they emphasise the importance of command words in their teaching. This focus has been woven into our first Marking and Feedback Fortnight of the year to compliment our work to provide great feedback to students and support them to make excellent progress in lessons.

Literacy is so important and the understanding of key words and command words is paramount to achieving success in written examinations. Do encourage your children to keep a glossary of the key words and command words in each subject they study and perhaps test them occasionally on their understanding.
It will help them achieve success!
