New voices, New vision: our 2025 leaders

Exciting opportunities arise through meeting and greeting new leaders! From subject leaders to new deputy heads and prefects, we gladly welcome the Bushey Meads head girl and boy:  Prisha Tapre and Jake Kijewski. On 15 September 2025, the student leadership team conducted an awarding ceremony for new leaders led by Ms Silla. The awarding assembly initiated badges and lanyards, recognising their inspiring roles to positively contribute to Bushey Meads School. It was an excellent ceremony as everyone felt valued and appreciated individually. We look forward to beginning this wonderful journey and building an “aspiring to achieve” community.

We would like to extend our congratulations to all who have applied for leadership positions and those who have successfully taken on these important roles within our school. Your dedication and commitment to our community has truly been appreciated. At Bushey Meads, we are ecstatic to keep growing our community to future leaders who will inspire, take initiative and shape the school for years to come.

Discover our school: Open evening 2025

This year’s open evening was a fantastic opportunity to visit our community and the curriculars we offer! Our tour guides provided a ‘mind to be kind’ when guiding friendly families and those who were interested in applying to Bushey Meads. The programme warmly introduced us to our executive principle: Mr Turner.

We, the prefect team, have actively participated in assisting visitors to refreshments, entertainment of the band and touring. Staff members have presented their eye-catching extra-curricular activities and curriculars it has to offer such as the Bushey Meads dance company, drama clubs, musicals and football clubs. In the science department, families observed interesting dissections of the heart and many lab experiments! From the history department, the staff members executed fun and interesting activities for families to enjoy, such as the blindfolding challenge to build a castle! These are just a few of the workshops from various departments that Bushey Meads has to offer.  Families immersing themselves in the exhibitions in the art galleries and sculptures students made throughout the years. One of the highlights of the evening was interacting with different families and how they view the school first-hand.

Open evening not only gave families the opportunity to visit Bushey Meads School, but also reflected the efforts of staff members and students who have contributed to this event. We are eager to see fresh talent and enthusiasm from incoming students!
