On Wednesday 18th March, Year 7 students spent the morning of the Enrichment day on a language-focussed session. Led by the MFL teachers and supported by the excellent resources created by Ms Naqvi, pupils explored a range of languages, from widely spoken ones such as Portuguese to less familiar ones like Korean.

Using Google Slides, students created Language Fact Files, including countries where the language is spoken, a cultural fact, a famous speaker, a traditional food, and a reason for learning the language. They also developed a short vocabulary list, featuring key greetings and numbers one to five.

Students presented their research to the class and enjoyed teaching their peers simple words and phrases in their chosen language, creating an engaging and interactive atmosphere.

The morning was a great success, helping to build confidence, cultural awareness and presentation skills. Thank you to Ms Naqvi for the high-quality resources, and well done to all students for their wonderful effort and participation.
