More Best Teacher 2024.25 Student Nominations

I would like to once again thank the 310 students who took the time to send in a nomination for their ‘best teacher’ from 2024.25 at the end of the last academic year. All staff received a nomination and found it uplifting to read the wonderfully encouraging citations. Here are a few more of them for you to read:

Congratulations Miss Bragoli!
I thoroughly enjoy her classes for numerous reasons, one being the rapport that she makes with students and the other is having interactive theory lessons instead of sitting and reading a board. Year 10 Student

Congratulations Mr Cox!
Because he always brings a laugh to every lesson (somehow). Year 10 Student

Congratulations Ms Pearson!
Her kindness and helping people in my technology class from 31st January 2025 2nd – May 2025. Year 9 Student

Congratulations Mr Johnson!
We learn in his lessons and he’s respectful. Year 8 Student

Congratulations Miss Samuels Redhead!
Do I even need to explain why she is the best teacher? She carries two subjects of A level for all the further maths students. The atmosphere of her lesson is entertaining. Furthermore, she helps literally every single student who does maths. Miss Redhead not only has a good knowledge she can also spot any working out mistake in seconds. She is indeed the best teacher. Year 13 Student

Congratulations Mr Harris!
Always helpful and funny. Year 10 Student

Congratulations Ms Cooper!
Because she has supported us all the way through my GCSE period and her style of learning has really helped me achieve what I have achieved this year. Year 11 Student

Congratulations Miss Joannou!
Miss Joannou has supported me in my classes and helped me whenever I have not understood something. She is always kind to all of her students and rewards good work. She makes sure that everyone feels safe and equal in classes and all-around school. Furthermore, her support has shown me how practice can make you improve a lot in school as I have in dance. Finally, her lesson plans always run smoothly and I never have to worry that she hasn’t done enough for us. Year 8 Student

Congratulations Ms Karunathilake!
As for my six years of being part of this school, This teacher has really been helpful and incredibly supportive, I have certainly built a great connection with her and she has been so helpful not only in lessons but whenever I have a free I sometimes pop into her room and we just have a chat and she gives great advice and she always has a positive mindset and a big smile on her face whenever I walk into her lessons. I greatly appreciate her as a teacher as she has been the best teacher for me this year and I will be sad when it comes to the time I leave sixth form as she has meant so much to me. Thank you so much for all the support you have given me this year and I hope we can make the most of next year. Year 12 Student

Congratulations Mrs Hoskins!
Good advice, adapts to each student’s needs and kind. Year 10 Student

Congratulations Miss Silla!
Her ability to sacrifice her time for not just me but my friends too anytime we aren’t sure of something. What amazes especially is that she doesn’t teach any of us but still makes time for us most of the time. Sometimes she’s actually very busy but still manages to put a smile on our faces all the time! Year 12 Student
