Great Designers!

It was inspiring to drop into the Year 10 Design and Technology lesson on Wednesday and see all students hard at work, engaged in the industry standard design process.

Some were using TechSoft Design V3 software to create their laser-cut acrylic pieces. The additional challenge was to only use one piece of acrylic and not to cut it.

Their initial designs had been drafted in pencil on some detailed design briefs and it was great to see their mobile phone holders come to life from prototype cardboard models.

Students were well trained on all the health and safety aspects of the equipment which included them using a Strip Heater to bend the sheets of cut acrylic.
