First Study Saturday for the Class of 2023
It was great to welcome over 50 students to our first Study Saturday of 2023 and see so many of them printing off GCSE and A level papers, working on Chromebooks and PCs and also helping each other in small groups – solving complex maths problems or discussing their answers to past paper questions.
Holding the Study Staurdays in the Learning Resource Centre means that students have access to state of the art IT and resource books across a range of subject areas.
A number of students stayed for the full 4 hours from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm and worked really hard for the duration – it was impressive to see.
Students commented :
“I can work better in school than at home and it was easier to concentrate here.”
“By coming in it was easier for me to print off past papers and check the mark schemes.”
“Being able to collaborate with other students meant it was easier to work on past papers ready for the first exams.”
“It was a relaxed but productive atmosphere.”
