Excellent Start for Year 9 Technology...

Our Year 9 students have made an excellent start to the year in Technology. This term, they have a fantastic opportunity to explore each of the Design and Technology specialisms.

Students will spend six lessons (three weeks) in each area—Food, Textiles, 3D design, and Computer Science—taking on real-life briefs such as programming micro:bites, tangram puzzles, cooking food from around the world and using different fabrics printing techniques to make a tote bag.

This exciting introduction to the different areas of Technology will give students the chance to discover their strengths and interests. At the end of the term, they will be able to make an informed choice and specialise in two of their favourite technologies for the rest of the year.

We look forward to seeing Year 9 enjoy their taste of Technology and the creative projects they will produce!
