Our BMS students have recently celebrated the European Day of Languages with a series of engaging activities that brought our community together to appreciate the rich linguistic diversity of Europe.
CDC Group Quiz
One of the highlights of the celebration was the CDC group quiz, which tested students’ knowledge of various languages, their origins, and interesting linguistic facts. Questions ranged from identifying languages spoken in different countries to matching famous phrases with their translations. The atmosphere was lively and filled with friendly competition.
Photo Competition
In addition to the quiz, we hosted a photo competition that encouraged students to capture the essence of language and culture. Participants submitted photographs that embodied the spirit of multilingualism. The entries were truly inspiring, reflecting the diversity and creativity within our school community. Congratulations to the winning group, 10 Oak, who earned a delicious treat to enjoy together!
Reflecting on the Importance of Languages
The European Day of Languages serves as a reminder of the importance of language learning and cultural appreciation. By participating in these activities, students not only had fun but also deepened their understanding of the role languages play in connecting us all. As we continue to embrace our diverse community, we look forward to more opportunities to celebrate and learn from one another.
Thank you to everyone who participated in making this day a success, and let’s keep the spirit of language learning alive throughout the year!
