Vertical Character Development: Fundraising...

Over the past two weeks, students have been fully engaged in our Vertical Character Development programme, focusing on coming up with innovative ideas to raise funds for a variety of charities. This has been an exciting opportunity for students to think creatively, work collaboratively, and consider how they can make a positive impact beyond the school community.

On Thursday and Friday, I had the pleasure of visiting all the CDCs to listen to the students present their pitches. Each group shared which charity they wanted to support and outlined their plans for fundraising. It was fantastic to see the thought, effort, and enthusiasm that went into each presentation, with students demonstrating excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.

What was particularly inspiring was seeing students from different year groups working together so effectively. Across Beech House, there was a real sense of unity and purpose, with older students mentoring younger ones and everyone contributing ideas to make their projects a success. The creativity on display was impressive, from fun events and competitions to innovative ways to engage the wider school community.

It was truly heartwarming to witness the energy, collaboration, and generosity of our students. Their commitment to supporting charitable causes not only highlights their leadership and initiative but also sets a brilliant example for the whole school. I am incredibly proud of all the students in Beech House involved and look forward to seeing their fundraising efforts come to life in the coming months.
