Best Teacher 2024.25 Student Nominations

I would like to thank the 310 students who took the time to send in a nomination for their ‘best teacher’ from 2024.25 at the end of the last academic year. All staff received a nomination and found it uplifting to read the wonderfully encouraging citations. Here are a few of them:

Congratulations Miss Bragoli!

She cares about the students she teaches, wants to have a relationship with them and respects them a lot and values everyone. She knows a lot about all of us and wants to care about us, unlike some teachers. She is an amazing teacher who is never unnecessarily rude and harsh to the students. She is always a lovely person. Her lessons are well thought out and very, very useful. Year 10 Student

Congratulations Mr Murray!
I never really liked geography but when I had Mr Murray as a teacher he knew how to make the lessons fun whilst properly teaching us at the same time, making sure we understood everything and now geography has become one of my favourite subjects. Year 11 Student

Congratulations Ms Booth!
Her method of teaching resonates with me the most for that subject. We get through content quickly and I understand everything. She’s also not too serious 100% of the time so it’s a lot easier to be relaxed and comfortable in the lesson to be able to fully focus on the work. Year 12 Student

Congratulations Mr Abusef!
You helped me with work throughout the year even when I fell behind on coursework. You also sometimes extended deadlines when things may have happened that were out of my control. Year 13 Student

Congratulations Miss Silla!
Miss Silla is the best teacher that has taught me in year thirteen at Bushey Meads School, even though I’ve only been here for two years. From the start, she has shown a level of dedication and care that sets her apart from any other teacher I’ve had. Year 13 Student
Congratulations Mr Ash!
He’s really chill and funny. Year 8 Student
Congratulations Miss Vail!
She’s kind and funny. Year 7 Student

Congratulations Mr Cox!
You have helped me through my year and they have made learning fun as well. Year 9 Student

Congratulations Mr Johnson!
He helped me with everything for my GCSEs and explained what we have to put in the exams for the writing my class did. Year 11 Student

Congratulations Mr Cartledge!
He is the best teacher as makes it clear on PE what he wants us to do and if we don’t get it he will help us do it. Year 8 Student
