Respect – at the Core of Who We Are
Assistant Headteacher Mrs Greenwood led our Main School Assemblies this week and foscussed on the core value at the heart of our school of respect.
She covered a lot of very pertinent thoughts but essentially reminded students that respecting people involves treating them how you want to be treated yourself, as well as showing kindness and understanding to others, even when things aren’t going our way.
She provided some top tips and advice to students related to avoiding gossiping about others and listening carefully when people are talking and sharing their throughts and feelings.
Respect also involves repecting yourself and being kind to yourself – looking after your physical and mental health and ensurng you eat well and get enough sleep and sometimes say no to things that you know are not good for yourself.
Having respect for yourself and others will ensure you will be successful as a person throughout your life – worth working on!
