As we reach the February half-term, we are delighted to celebrate a dedicated group of students from across all year groups who have shown impressive commitment since the start of the spring term.
Back in early January, these students responded to Ms de Groot’s offer to be their “accountability partner” to encourage them to stick with their “New Year Commitments.” Rather than let these promises fade after a week or two, this group has stuck by their goals for six solid weeks, proving that consistency is the key to success.
The range of goals has been inspiring, covering every corner of school life including sport and fitness, revision, reading habits and staying on top of homework. In addition some students have committed to developing new skills and hobbies as part of their wider personal development.
Ms de Groot is incredibly proud of every single student who has stayed motivated even when the mornings are dark and the term gets busy! The children’s commitment encouraged Ms de Groot to stick to one of her resolutions – to read every day. She is pleased to report that she has completed 2 books since January: The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho) and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (Gabrielle Zevin).

Well done to all involved, enjoy a well-earned half-term break.
