Excellent Year 7 Enrichment Day at BMS

It was a privilege to visit all the amazing Year 7 activities during last week’s enrichment day which took place on Friday. Entitled ‘A Taste of the Future’ our youngest students rose to the occasion and fully engaged in a whole array of lessons students normally learn at Key Stage 4 and 5.

Sessions on sociology, business studies, philosophy, government and politics and child development introduced the students to some of those complex ‘big questions’ about life and universe, the perfect society and the existence of aliens within our universe. Students also had a chance to design their own APP and present their ideas to the class which develops those all-important life skills of presenting confidently to an audience.

It was a great day and really inspiring to see our youngest cohort demonstrating and developing such great skills.
