The expert use of technology can have a big impact in helping students learn effectively and in one of recent sharing best practice Friday Faculty Foci, Acting Head of Science Ms Booth shared with all staff how the use of visualisers can really help to support students in science in making great progress. This simple but effective technological tool, based around a sharply focussed digital camera linked to the Interactive Whiteboard, can project images, small details and scales on scientific equipment and even examples of exemplary student work to the class in a very clear and visual way.
With all students viewing what is on the screen the teacher can then enhance what is on view with their usual teaching methods; it’s simple but highly effective. It was another great reminder of how we can use technology to enhance the student experience her at BMS.
