Continuous Professional Development
All staff at BMS understand the importance of learning and appreciate the emphasis that we as a school place on continuous professional development or CPD. Many schools locally and also further afield have been interested in how we approach this hugely important aspect of our profession and often join us at our events in school and across the multi academy trust that we are part of.
On Monday of this week our Senior Lead Practitioner Mrs Hoskins outlined to staff the CPD plan for the year. The exciting cohesive programme encompasses LIght Bites, Marking and Feedback Fortnights, Morning and Afternoon INSET sessions, Teacher Toolkits, BSJT and School-Based Conferences, Marking Parties and Staff Development Days, with a really good balance of best practice sharing and time to plan and embed new ideas into our classrooms.
Staff at Bushey Meads do appreciate the work of our outstanding Teaching and Learning Team headed up by Mrs Hoskins and the major contribution they make to developing staff and supporting the pedagogical practice across our school.
