The new school year has kicked off with a burst of energy and curiosity as students dive into their first lessons across the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty. From history to geography, psychology to sociology, students have been engaging with topics that will spark their understanding of the world, past and present.

In history classes, our students have been exploring ancient civilizations, unlocking the mysteries of the Aztec civilization, and analyzing the rise and fall of powerful empires. Over in geography, students are busy mapping out regions, learning about diverse ecosystems, and examining how human activity shapes the environment. Psychology and sociology students have jumped into fascinating discussions about human behavior and social dynamics, already showing a strong interest in understanding what makes people tick, individually and as a society. It’s clear that the future scholars and leaders of our school are off to a great start!

Beyond the classroom, we have recently launched the Humanities club that takes place every Tuesday in Room H4.This term’s focus is on a topic that resonates deeply:Remembrance. Where students will explore various perspectives on memory,history and the ways we honor the past.Each term, we dive into a new, thought-provoking theme,offering an enriching space for discussion,reflection and deeper learning, All are welcome!

Whether they’re in the classroom or in the Humanities club, our students are already proving to be thoughtful, enthusiastic learners who are eager to make connections between history, culture, and society. The students are learning how to think on their feet, collaborate with peers, and defend their positions with clarity and confidence. The skills they’re developing here will not only help in the classroom, but also in life beyond the school gates.

It’s been an inspiring start to the term, and we can’t wait to see how these young minds continue to grow, question, and contribute to their subjects and beyond. Keep up the great work, everyone!
