From the very first run, it was clear that this group was ready to take on the challenge. Every single student made progress, whether they were total beginners finding their balance or experienced skiers fine-tuning their technique. Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to push themselves in different ways—practising jumps, experiencing off-piste skiing for the first time, and developing their technique on the groomed runs. The improvement across the group was brilliant to see, with many students achieving things they never thought possible at the start of the trip.
Beyond the skiing, the week was packed with great memories. One evening, we enjoyed an authentic Italian pizza night, and let’s just say the pizza definitely lived up to expectations! Another highlight was the quiz night, which brought out everyone’s competitive streak—huge congratulations to Miss Cole’s group for taking the win!
To round off the trip, we held an awards ceremony, celebrating not only the brilliant ski instructors who helped our students progress but also some of the stand-out moments from the week. Awards included Best Dressed Male and Female, Most Inquisitive, Most Lost Items, Best Quote, Best Wipeout, and more. The Sixth Form students even had the chance to present some awards, making it a special way to end an amazing trip.
As we look ahead to February 2026, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be heading to Gressoney-La-Trinité — a brand-new destination for us and the first time we’ve changed resorts in 10 years. Located in the Monterosa ski area, this resort reaches an impressive 3,275m (nearly 800m higher than Falcade) and offers a great mix of runs for all abilities, with scenic open slopes and quieter trails, making it the perfect location to develop our skiing skills.
Not only are we switching things up with a new resort, but we’ve also upgraded our accommodation to a 4-star hotel, meaning students will have an even more comfortable place to relax after a long day on the slopes. Perhaps the best news of all is that the coach journey will be significantly shorter, taking around 15 hours instead of the 25-hour-trip to Falcade!
A huge thank you to all the staff who made this trip possible and to the students for their fantastic attitude, resilience, and enthusiasm throughout the week. We can’t wait to see what next year’s adventure has in store!
