Our highly successful ELSA event for Year 10 students was last Thursday. As part of Enrichment Day, the ELSA (Education, Learning, Skills & Achievement) team introduced an array of employers to the cohort who ran a number of workshops to immerse our Year 10 students into the world of work. There were six sessions in total and the various groups would rotate to ensure they did not miss out on the prepared activity. One of the highlights was the ‘Mock Interview’ workshop where employers would ask questions and present some real life scenarios. Students were given some handy hints and tips, which will prepare them well for their Work Experience next March. A number of employers commented on how confident and conscientious some of our pupils are and there was a real buzz of excitement in the air. It was a privilege to be part of this event and to see our students shine.
