Over our last marking and feedback fortnight I had the opportunity to take an in depth look at how marking and feedback is delivered in our faculty.
It was great to get together during this time and share best practice, here are my 3 favourite tips I got from the humanities faculty:
– Code marking- typing codes up on a slide with more detailed comments, then using the codes to mark saves so much time on KS4/5 marking!
– Have a vision for your marking! Have a tracker for you to monitor your marking.
– Utilise peer and self marking! Students gain a lot from reassessing their work, and this can be done in lessons!
We had a really productive two weeks, setting new goals for marking in our faculty and sharing best practice!
Feel free to drop into the humanities department to check out these tips and tricks!
