The geography department took the year 11 GCSE geography students to the amazing Jurrasic coast in Dorset for their annual residential field trip spending 3 days exploring this fascinating region. The aim of the trip is to develop their field work skills which covers data collection, data analysis and presentation. This gives students the first hand experience of working in the field which helps them with their paper 3 GCSE exam. We visited the rolling sand dunes of Studland Bay, the stunning coastals scenery of Durdle Door Beach, Man O’ War cove and Lulworth cove. We finished the trip by travelling to Bournemouth to understand the impacts of urban regeneration. The weather was on our side, and all the students had a fantastic time in Dorset.
