Year 12 Information Evening
On Tuesday, we welcomed students, parents and carers for a Year 12 Information Event. Assistant Headteacher, Miss Silla, talked through the support available to students within the Sixth Form and how big a jump the learning it is from the end of Year 11.
Advice regarding the importance of utilising independent study lessons effectively was shared to ensure the students make the best progress possible.
Mr Harris, Sixth Form Leader, also went into detail about the Elevate and Excel programme available to support students who find the transition into Year 12 challenging.
Parents and carers had the opportunity to meet the Sixth Form team and ask any questions regarding their studies.
It was a fantastic event, with many parents stating how useful the event was so they can support their child through the Sixth Form.
