The New Landscape for Feedback
With the emphasis on live lessons being streamed to the 90% of our school population working from home, additional challenges are being embraced by the hardworking teachers at BMS.
Providing feedback for students is inevitably a little more challenging, but new ways are being found to do this as smartly as possible, bearing in mind that we all know that the power of great feedback can significantly increase the progress of learning.
Hard working English teacher Mr Cox showed me a piece of student work in black type that he had provided feedback for in green font. The student in Year 11 had then responded to the teacher’s feedback and written in purple font to demonstrate his progress.
On the right hand side of the screen Mr Cox also provided some specific instructions in the chat column which guided the student to further success.
It was very impressive!
