Dancing Online

In Dance, students in Key Stage 3 have been taking part in online dance lessons and completing practical tasks while at home.

It has been great seeing those in school, interact with those online. At the end of some lessons the students in school perform the work completed during the lesson, while those at home suggest improvements and positive feedback. It was great to see so many of my classes unmute themselves to applaud the performers. A brilliant sense of community has been built between the students in school and at home.
Key Stage 4 and 5 have begun a solo choreography project, which will be performed in their homes. The students have started to create their choreographic intentions (what the dance is about) and found interesting and creative ways they can choreograph dance at home. Our next couple of lessons will focus on how to film dance in restricting spaces and at home.
I look forward to seeing these projects develop into a creative final product.
