Key Stage 3 Learning at BMS

As I have mentioned in my previous articles, it is wonderful to see so many students back at Bushey Meads School and learning in class.

Due to family commitments in these strange times, the attendance fluctuates across the week with the average number being about 38 (14 from Year 7, 12 from Year 8 and 12 from Year 9). It was therefore exciting to see numbers rise to 47 on Wednesday this week – the highest total so far for Key Stage 3 with a few students attending for the first time.

As you can see from the photos, students are physically distanced in class and every classroom has a teacher and a Learning Assistant to offer support when needed.

The Year 7 girls in the video were set a task by Miss Dolan and Miss Noyan (dance teachers) to create a choreographed group routine and spent one period outside completing the task.

Finally, I wanted to thank the parents and carers for supporting the staff at Bushey Meads in terms of ensuring that children continue to learn. Thanks to the parents who help their children travel to BMS each day and to the parents who facilitate learning at home. We really appreciate all you are doing.
