March 2026 — a Flamenco dance workshop followed by a tapas tasting trip!
As part of our aim to bring language learning to life, students will have the opportunity to step into the vibrant world of Spanish culture. The day will begin with a high-energy Flamenco workshop, where
students will learn the basics of this iconic Spanish dance style, including rhythm, clapping, and
traditional moves. No previous dance experience is needed; just a willingness to have fun and try
something new!
After working up an appetite, the group will head to a local Spanish tapas restaurant, where students can
sample a variety of authentic small dishes such as patatas bravas, tortilla española, and churros. It’s a delicious way to explore Spanish cuisine and practice some of the vocabulary they’ve been learning in
class.
This enrichment activity not only supports the Year 7 Spanish curriculum, but also gives students a
memorable, hands-on experience of Spanish traditions.
Places are limited, so we encourage interested students to return their permission slips promptly. ¡Vamos!
