Our School has a Mind to be Kind

This morning, just before the school day began, I arrived early and was met with an unexpected moment of quiet beauty. As the sun began to rise over our green fields, a pair of geese were calmly walking and feeding on the grass.

It was around 6:15am, the school was still and silent and the sight of these graceful birds brought a sense of peace to the start of the day.

I moved closer to take a few pictures and one image stood out. In the background, behind the geese, was our school sign that reads “Our school has a mind to be kind.” At that moment, I was struck by how true those words are, not just in how we treat each other, but in how we respect and welcome the nature around us.
These beautiful birds reminded me that kindness extends beyond the classroom and corridors. It lives in our relationship with nature, in the way we care for our school grounds and in how we embrace even the quietest visitors.
