Comment : A convincing win for the Year 8 boys in their first League game of the season. The boys made a good transition into 11-a-side football with some good passages of play and well taken goals. A really positive start – well done all.
Year 11 Boys v Queens A (District PREM League) AWAY Mr Cartledge

Comment : A really difficult start to the season with the boys starting their first ever season in the Prem league. Despite some good passing play in sections of the game a strong Queens team ran out comfortable winners. The BMS can be proud with their effort levels working hard right unto the final whistle.
Year 7A Boys v Parmiters B (District League Div 1) HOME Mr Harris
Date: Monday 16th September 2024
Result: Won 6 – 2
Scorers: N. Cunningham (1), B. Hemmings (2), J. Muraj (1)
Squad: C. Dias (GK), R. Gurney, J. Hayward, F. Murphy, M. Thomas-Spark, J. Muraj, C. Killpack, T. Kearney, B. Hemmings ©, N. Cunningham, C. Vaughan, B. Stanley, L. Soteriou
Commended performances: All of the boys
Comment: Yesterday saw the first opportunity for Year 7 students to represent the school in football where we welcomed Parmiters to school. The game got off to a quick start with N. Cunningham being played through from the midfield, one on one with the keeper he slotted it under the goalkeeper and into the net. We continue our good momentum working the ball around the wings well and creating good chances. Next saw B. Hemmings got his first of the afternoon, which was later followed by a second that he managed to poke before halftime. Into the second half, we started to lose our way slightly, losing possession more as Parmiters pressed. After a while, we managed to break through and get another from an excellent R. Gurney corner which bounced off the defender at the back post and into the goal. J. Muraj then went to get into the goals and managed to strike a ball excellently on the half volley into the roof of the net, an excellent finish. We were solid throughout the game with F. Murphy leading the back line confidently. After a fantastic save by C. Dias, the ball was followed up and lifted high into the goal from a Parmiters player making the score 5 – 1. But R. Gurney decided to take another excellent corner and once again it hit off the defender and in at the back post for another goal. In the dying minutes, a lack of concentration saw us give away a penalty which Parmiters calmly slotted away. A late consolation goal, but a dominant start by the Year 7 boys for their first game.
Year 9A Boys v Parmiters A (Friendly) AWAY Mr O’Kelly
Date : Monday 16th September 2024
Result : Lost 4 – 0
Squad : F. Hoy, E. Goddard, E. Platt, R, Payne, F. Gee, A. Choudhury, K. Johnson, R. Hodgson, R. Doran, L. Khan, J. Lewis, K. Walker, J. Evans, B. Spencer, H. Trueman
Commended performances : K. Johnson and E.Platt
Comment : A very tough game against one of the strongest teams in the county saw the boys having to work hard defensively for most of the game. Chasing back, making tackles and holding their shape became so important. A tough result to have against them, but a good work out and will help in the long term with reinforcing the need for strong team defensive organisation.
