This week, our Year 9 students took part in their first set of core subject exams under full exam conditions in the Sportshall. They sat their English exam on Monday, followed by Science on Wednesday and Maths on Thursday.
This was the first time our Year 9s had experienced a formal exam setting and we are very proud of how they conducted themselves during the exams. Their behaviour was excellent and they truly modelled the school values in every way. It was clear that they had taken on board the advice and guidance given by their teachers and approached each exam with maturity and focus.
These exams were a valuable rehearsal for the upcoming PPEs they will sit in Year 10. It gave them a taste of what to expect at Key Stage 4 and will no doubt have a positive impact on their academic progress and their personal development.
