It was great to hear from Mr Smith, Lead Learning Assistant – Outdoor Education and D of E Co-ordinator on Monday morning of this week in our Staff Briefing meeting and see and hear about the positive impact of our growing outdoor education programme that more and more students across all year groups are accessing.
The plan now is for more subjects to build in elements of outdoor education into their schemes of learning to bring that added dimension of real world learning to their classrooms.
We have really appreciated Mr Smith and his hardworking team and been so impressed with the way that Outdoor Education is now very firmly on the curriculum at BMS, helping to engage even more students in this practical aspect of learning.
