CRICKET
Year 9/10 Cricket v Westfield (Division 1)
Date : Wednesday 21st May 2025
Score : LOST by 5 wickets
Batting : H. Neal 14
Bowling : S. Christian 4 for 25, H. Neal 1 for 16
Squad : P. Patel, H. Neal, A. Sanga, S. Christian, D. Snowden, M. Jaji, K. Gorsia, S. Mcgrath, R. Rahman. K. Walker, N. Konopka
Comment : An interesting game where the boys had mixed fortunes with the bat. With the opposition taking two very early wickets and the boys picking out the fielders with less than orthodox shot selection, they then bowled and fielded well to keep the game fairly close. With 20 or 30 more runs, this would have been a very close game. Huge thanks to the two debutants (K. Walker and N. Nonopka) playing their first games of cricket, batting well and not giving up their wickets first ball, unlike some of our openers.
BADMINTON
Earlier on in the year we reported on the progress of Javadali M in Year 7 who represents Hertfordshire at badminton. Recently Javadali competed in the County League Finals and was part of the U13 squad that won bronze – a fantastic achievement and reward for his hard work and practice. Well done !
