I am very proud of our Year 10 student Emilio, who has shown outstanding commitment and determination by successfully completing the Airbus Virtual Work Experience Programme in his own time during lunchtimes last week.

With a clear ambition to become a pilot in the future, Emilio chose to spend every lunchtime in the IT suite working through the programme. In just one week, he completed an impressive nine online modules, showing excellent responsibility for his learning and future career goals.
The Airbus programme included over seven hours of content and gave Emilio a real insight into the exciting world of aerospace. He explored commercial aircraft design and manufacturing, with a special focus on aircraft wings, and learned fascinating facts about how aircraft are built. He also studied Airbus helicopters, both civil and military, and took part in interactive activities to test his knowledge.
I am extremely impressed with Emilio’s commitment and the way he has taken responsibility for his future. Very well done for earning his Airbus certificate which is a fantastic achievement and a brilliant example to all students.
