Year 7 Assembly: The Power of Kindness

“Kindness doesn’t cost anything, but it means everything.”

This week, our Year 7 students gathered for an inspiring assembly delivered by Assistant Pastoral Manager Mrs Doran on the theme of kindness — exploring how small acts of care and respect can strengthen our relationships and shape our school community.

Through stories, and a short video featuring many of our staff members, students saw how kindness is not just about being polite, but about showing respect for others’ feelings, differences and experiences. Students shared thoughtful ideas on how random acts of kindness can be shown in everyday moments — from welcoming new classmates and offering help, to listening carefully and using positive language.

The assembly reminded everyone that respect and relationships grow stronger when we show our mantra of a ’Mind to be Kind’

Well done to Year 7 for their enthusiasm, empathy, and commitment to making our school a place where everyone feels valued and included.
